About the Founder:

Zach Stoughton began working on pianos in 2003 as a piano student at the University of Texas at Austin. After graduating in 2007, he opened Stoughton Piano Service in Austin, TX. Since his relocating to North Texas, Mr. Stoughton has continued to provide high quality piano tuning, regulation and repair. His past and current clients include Texas Wesleyan University, Texas Christian University, PianoTexas International Academy & Festival, the Mirmir Chamber Music Festival, the University of Texas at Austin School of Theater and Dance, Mollburg Piano Restoration, the Austin Lyric Opera, as well as numerous churches, community music schools, recording studios, and performing arts organizations throughout central and north Texas.

In addition to his work as a piano technician, Mr. Stoughton is also an accomplished pianist and musicologist. He has performed throughout the United States as soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician with a particular interest in contemporary American music. Having taught music at Texas Christian University, Mr. Stoughton is often engaged as a lecturer speaking on topics ranging from historical keyboard temperaments to music physics.
